do it

I took this photo of water being sprinkled from a fountain pipe. I wasn’t happy with this work. However, upon converting it into monochrome, I quite liked what this turned into.

Many a times in life we want to do things, but for reasons known or unknown we don’t take that plunge. You don’t know what it could have had turned into. And some years down the line when it becomes a lost opportunity, some of us happen to regret it. Just like the water drops here trying to reach as high as it can irrespective of success or failure, if possible within your restrictions (if any) go and do it. Even if you fail, the good part is you tried. Don’t we keep taking photographs, until we get the result we want.

the hard reality

hard reality

Just like the corn in the feet in this picture, things are not always what it seems. We have to learn and embrace the way things are. The only thing one has a control over is Karma. Why do people feel obligated to connect socially? Why does one want to bond with you? Why do you expect people to respond you to your liking? Why does one question the belief of others? Why does one intrude someone’s personal space? Why cannot people just Live and let others live at peace as well. Did I say, “Silence is golden?”

“Time and Tide waits for none”, once lost it will never come back until you have a Time Machine.
This proverb in my opinion holds true merit in all its worth. You cannot get back the lost time, its gone. There is no point in brooding over it. I guess we all wish if we could stop the time.

Time is indeed a thing of luxury. Its not the most prudent decision you will make to remain idle and expect things to change. Its up to you to take command of things, pull strings and make the most of the moment. Be it while photographing and you see the perfect light falling, taking a moment and making an effort to share your feelings with your someone special, holding hands and give one tight hug before it gets too late. Time wouldn’t wait but memories will be forever embedded in you

Chikmangalur Sept 09 DSC_1020 as Smart Object-1 copy
I had thought of writing this sometime early in the week, but the lazy bum in me did not move.
The last weekend I went to Chikmaglur, Karnataka (India). Its about 5-6 hrs drive. Its a beautiful place with coffee estates all over and varied small and beautiful waterfalls as well. Its a photographer’s paradise.
I couldn’t take too many shots as it was raining throughout, nevertheless managed some shots and would share with you all in some days.

About this post:
I guess we all are afraid of something or other. And we know about it. Last weekend the fear of Strong Winds crept into me. Yes, Strong Winds. We all enjoy winds, the breeze; but strong winds.
We went to a peak of the hill where the wind was so strong that it was just impossible for any single person to walk alone. One had to hold someone’s hand. Did I say I wanna hold your hand. 😉

The moment I got out of the car, I felt the strong wind currents hitting me and I was not able to take more than a few steps. My face was becoming numb and my legs were getting weaker and the next moment I see myself inside the car again, while my friends had their date with the strong winds for some more time.

I guess, its good to chicken out at times.

what keeps you going…

drunken morningExcess of anything is abuse of excess. Can we determine what is excess. People are like two sides of a coin. No two people can be same , neither could be their needs, taste, habits etc.

Many a people consume alcohol in a dignified way, but many a people consume it in an abusive way as well. Most of the people drink to get drunk for whatever reason they seem fit.

However, some population of the society derive strength from alcohol that they would need to keep them going throughout the day. I have come across or rather observed the daily wage labourers consuming alcohol in the beginning of the day. It really made me curious. One day I mustered the courage to ask one of the daily wage labourers. His response was very simple – It keeps us going. He went on with his work, but it made me put my thinking cap – what keeps one going….
